^7 Here are a few suggestions for articles in future issues of TOTALLY
^7AMOS.
^6---------------------------------------------------------------------
^1 Ideas for the future...
^21.Programming at 3 levels, for beginners, mids, and
^2advanced.(especially files and data bases etc.)
^22.Commands not in the Amos Manual, and how to use them, with examples.
^23.Use of global and large numbers of variables, & examples.
^24.A blow by blow account of how to understand your disk lister
^2program - bits I can, lots I cann't. This would be a good base for
^2suggestions 1, 2 & 3.
^1 I could go on, but won't!
^7John Law. Didcot.
^6---------------------------------------------------------------------
^1This is a part of a letter received from Mike Tilley from Barking,
^4... I am also waiting with bated breath for some enterprising soul to
^4bring out 'The Complete Idiots Guide to Programming in Amos'. As I
^4said earlier, my technical skills are a bit weak and when you have a
^4wild imagination, an inability to transfer your ideas into a coputer
^4can be like wearing a mental straightjacket!
^2 Well, Mike anyone who has the sense to buy Amos cann't be a complete
^2idiot! Since we had your letter, we have been asked to write a book
^2using one of our programs as an example, and taking the reader
^2through it step by step. It won't be out until next spring, so keep
^2reading Totally Amos!
^4 There are a couple of other books being published, but details are
^4few at present. One is a book for game writers by Stephen Hill, who
^4is responsible for the Amos manual, the other a programmers reference
^4guide.
^6---------------------------------------------------------------------
^1 Please write in with your ideas, we'd like to include the things
^1that you'd like to see, so don't be shy, drop us a line!
